Getting ready for Christmas without a Christmas Stamp Set

Yes, I know.  Nobody wants to think about Christmas, much less, winter at this point in time.  I feel like we've barely even had a summer!  That said, it really is time for the crafty-hearted folks to start thinking about their holiday crafting.  Every year around the middle of December I find myself rushing to get my holiday cards MADE and out the door.  I always say, "Next year I'm going to get these done early."  THIS YEAR is my year. (Never heard that from a Cubs fan before, have ya?)

On Saturday, August 16 and Monday, August 18 I will be offering the "Getting ready for Christmas without a Christmas stamp set" class.  Join me to make 20 cards, all holiday themed, without using one single stamp that comes in a "holiday themed" stamp set.

These cards are quick and easy, appropriate for all skill levels, but each has a certain zing that catches your attention and gets that little "ah ha" moment!

Stampin' Blendabilities

The Stampin' Blendabilities markers may just be one of the most talked about and anticipated new products in the 2014 2015 Stampin Up catalog. These alcohol markers make it easy to shape and color your favorite images unlike any other marker Stampin Up has ever provided. I've had so much fun playing with these new markers. They are only available now to demonstrators but will be made available to all customers when the new catalog launches on June 1.

Because so many of you have already asked for instruction, I am offering a special instructional class on Thursday, June 12 at 7 pm. In this Stampin Blendabilities class you'll receive one set of Stampin Blendabilities markers (in your choice of color), a Memento ink pad, and the Blended Bloom stamp set. You will receive a written sheet of tips and tricks on how to use your new Stampin Blendabilities markers as well as make four projects that will make you an expert and using this wonderful new coloring tool.

During this class we will have a special Stampin Blendabilities ordering discount eligible for class day only. Bring a friend who is new to KellI's Korner and receive your choice of Stampin Blendabilities markers for half price!

All registrations must be received and paid for no later than June 2nd in order to allow ample time for product ordering and delivery. Cancellations after this date may not be refunded due to the product based nature of this class.

We’re stamping in our scrapbooks
Beginning February 2012

Love to stamp and create gorgeous cards?  Are you a scrapbooker wanting to expand your collection? New to scrapbooking but ready to learn? No matter where you are in your card making or memory keeping journey, you’ll love this new Kelli’s Korner Klub!  “Scramping” is the art of stamping in a scrapbook, converting card layouts to scrapbook layouts, creating your own stamped backgrounds, and bringing a new element to your stamping hobby!

Each month, we will use a themed stamp set to create a gorgeous card that we will convert to two 12” x 12” page layouts. We will follow up with an optional crop so you can add your own photos or work on additional layouts using the stamp set of the month and my collection of stamps, inks and punches.

The cost of this klub is $35 each month.  Each month you will receive the stamp set of the month (clear mount) and a kit to make the monthly layout (minimum merchandise value of $25).  If you sign up for a 6 month subscription, you will receive an additional $25 in Stampin’ Up! merchandise of your choice during your 6 month subscription.  **Note - If you already own the stamp set of the month, you may choose an alternative stamp set of the same price but you must bring your stamp set of the month to the klub meeting.

This klub will meet alternately between the third Friday (6:00pm) or third Sunday (1:00pm) of each month. (i.e. Friday 2/17, Sunday 3/18, Friday 4/20, Sunday 5/20, etc.)

Registrations for Scramp Klub are due 2 weeks prior to the scheduled meeting.  You can join month by month or register for a 6 month subscription at any time.

Current registrations are for February 16 and are due no later than February 2.  The Stamp Set of the Month is Flower Fest .

This is a BYOA (Bring Your Own Adhesive).  It is also recommended you bring your clear mount blocks.  If you plan to stay for the optional crop, be sure to bring your photographs and paper supplies for any other layouts you care to put together.

Valentine Punch Art Anybody?

Anyone who has stamped with me for any length of time knows there are two holidays I just don't stamp for...Halloween and Valentines' Day.  I have nothing against Halloween. It's one of my favorites, actually. I think my issue is that by the time October rolls around, I'm so entrenched in Christmas there's just not time for ghosts and pumpkins.  Valentines' Day is another issue entirely.  I'm a lot like Cupid's Scrooge.  "Bah Humbug," I say to hearts and love and all that nonsense.  Shouldn't we be celebrating the people we love all through the year instead of on one miserable day when you can't find a seat in the movies and the only restaurant with an available seat is the run down little neighborhood shack with questionable sanitation practices?  Come on, folks! You can find heart shaped boxes of chocolate and roses by the dozen in April, August, and November, too!  However...

It's the New Year and I've decided to branch out and try something new...conformity!  Yes, it's happening.  I'm stamping for Valentines' Day this year!!  Full disclosure, I'm stamping for V-Day with an ulterior motive.  In several of my classes and clubs lately, we've talked about getting a new punch art class on the calendar.  So, I combine conformity and customer interest to give you Punch Me Out, Valentine!

Punch Me Out, Valentine will teach you how to make 6 adorable punch art "creatures" all from current Stampin' Up! punches, dies and colors.  Each punch creation will be used to create a unique project with a Valentines' Day theme.  No, the world hasn't stopped spinning. It's really happening!
