Blooming Wonderful

The last few days I've been totally miserable.  Low grade fever, sore throat, runny nose, the works. And if that wasn't bad enough, I've been so cranky even I haven't wanted to be around me.  Tonight, I think I've finally come through the worst of it all.  My fever seems to have left the building so my body doesn't feel like it's been hit by a bus. I was even able to do a little creating which definitely tells me that the worst of this ickiness is behind me.

Since the weather has been so very delightful all winter, some of the early spring flowers are actually starting to bloom already.  Since I have a bit of a black thumb, nothing outside my house even resembles life.  Inside, however, we're blooming lilies!    I grabbed a punch, some cardstock and some ink and went to town.  I made a whole lovely bouquet of punch lilies.  They're so bright and happy, blooming just for me and you!

We'll be making these beautiful punch lilies as part of our make-n-take for Stampin' Bunco.  You're not signed up for Stampin' Bunco??  Head on over to our Meetup group and register today!

Join the Korner Krazy Stampers during Sale-A-Bration for a GREAT deal!!

Sale-A-Bration is truly the best time of year to decide to join the Stampin' Up! family.  That's when I joined three years ago. I signed up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator because I LOVE the coordinating colors, the quality and design of the rubber, and the beautiful, ever changing assortment of accessories.  OH...I signed up for the 20% discount, too.  Actually, that's more like the #1 reason I signed up. Afterall, it's a lot of consumables that need to be replaced often and why not get that 20% off??  After inviting a couple friends over to play with my new "starter kit", they begged me to teach them how to stamp and share all the things I knew.  While never my initial intention, that's how Kelli's Korner was born.  Over the years, I have met some incredible women, made lifelong friends, and taken some interesting vacations.  I continue to learn and grow as a crafter but also have become more fulfilled as a person.  I found a love, and a community who shares that love with me.  As I look at the collection of stampin "stuff" I've amassed over the years, I've never looked back and questioned why.  I know I did the right thing for me.

NOW is the time to sign up for your own 20% discount.  With the Starter kit a mere $125 ($50 off the regular price) plus the added incentive of a free pack of DSP or digital download each month, there is no better time to give the Stampin' Up! family a road test!  Would you be:

Discount Demonstrator - you love Stampin' Up! products and want that discount!

Hobby Demonstrator - you love holding workshops or classes as time permits, on your schedule.  You're not going to go totally out of your way to book workshops or build your calendar.  You work your business on your time...and get that 20% off!

Career Demonstrator - you see your Stampin' Up! starter kit as the beginning of a thriving business with long term financial goals.  You want to move up through the career plan and make a living by doing what you love.  You plan your work and work your plan.  And you still have time to take advantage of your personal 20%!

Can you see yourself being one of these demonstrators?  In addition to the fabulous discount on the best stampin supplies in the world along with a starter kit and free additional product valued at over $300, you also get the benefit of:
  • Stampin' Success Magazine sent by Stampin' Up! each month, packed full of incredible paper crafting projects and ideas.
  • Access to Stampin' Connection, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator only community with thousands of samples, articles and information to help make you a better stamper

Should I print true digital?

When it comes to brand loyalty, I have always found that I'm definitely one you'd call "loyal" in certain areas.  We all know I'm a Stampin' Up! junquie and totally loyal to the brand.  I'm also loyal to specific brands of mac & cheese, American cheese, snotty nose tissues, bum around sneakers, and jeans.  I am finding that I've also become pretty brand loyal to one particular photo processor who sells pharmaceuticals and is on most local corners in my area whose name starts with a W :)

When printing photos, I've been exercising the option to get a "true digital print" size of 4x5.3.  When you get a 4x6 print, you're actually getting a photo that has been cropped slightly on the 6" side because of the shape of the picture your camera takes naturally.  These true digital prints are not cropped and come out almost ready to pop only a mat that's been made out of a 1/4 sheet of cardstock.  Talk about cool scrappin time savings!  I just have to trim off a touch from the short side.

As I've started to talk about with Scramp Klub, this girl scraps a whole lot better when she can just slap some photos into pre-designed layouts (great gift idea!!)  And...I love making pre-designed layouts with easy to trim mats...i.e. 1/4 sheets of cardstock.  No waste.  No muss.  No fuss.  Scrapbooking made easy.  I bet a whole lot more of you card enthusiasts who claim you "can't" scrapbook would do a lot more of it if you learned how to do a little BAM BAM BAM scrapbooking :)

So, if you haven't tried true digital prints, I would encourage you to give it a shot.  I do know some people who are true 4x6 loyalists and I can totally respect that.  But...I say, don't knock it til you try it.  You might find that you're getting pictures on pages faster like me!

Simply Scored Diagonal Plate

First of all, you need one.  Second...there is no second.  You just need one!  Making a perfect compliment to our Simply Scored scoring board, the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate is an incredible compliment to get perfect 45 degree angles scored into your paper crafting projects.  Take a look at this cool video below to see how easy it is to use and click here or email me to order yours today!

P.S. I'm giving away a Simply Scored at Stampin' Bunco on March 24.  I might even see a Simply Scored Diagonal Plate becoming part of the door prize!!

Follow the rainbow

One of the things I love about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is having access to an awesome website called Stampin' Connection.  Similar to many other online photo blogs about stamping, the projects posted on Stampin' Connection are all Stampin' Up! all the time and it's only accessible to active demonstrators.  I am so often inspired by the beautiful cards and scrapbook pages that I see on this site.  This card, for instance, totally 100% inspired by a card posted by Lisa Kirishian.  I changed the colors a tad, added a couple additional mats, and outlined the little guy with a Bashful Blue marker to help him stand out a little more.  Click on the picture for a larger view.

Gnome Sweet Gnome is a stamp set found in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  I'll be honest.  When I saw it, I wasn't 100% sure what I would do with it.  I think this St. Patrick's Day card is an excellent answer.  We made this card during one of my February hostess club meetings.  Great way to get ready for St. Pat's day...being the big card giving occasion it is :)
